Zisis Kardianos has carried out a significant work, not only as a photographer but also by means of promoting photography in various ways, in Greece and abroad. Short bio

Zisis Kardianos was born in 1962. He is a freelance photographer based in Zakynthos, Greece. He studied sociology in Deree College and graduated in documentary photography in the Focus School. Photography is his obsession along with photo-book collecting and printing. He is a founding member of the international photography collective Burn My Eye and contributing photographer in Millennium Photo Agency. What he strives to achieve is the making through his photographs of an imaginary world where even the most prosaic situations can acquire a mysterious nuance and a meaning different from the one that they carry in reality.

Ο Ζήσης Καρδιανός έχει πραγματοποιήσει σημαντικό έργο, όχι μόνο ως φωτογράφος αλλά παράλληλα υποστηρίζοντας τη φωτογραφία με διάφορους τρόπους. Το in[+]frame προσέγγισε τον κ. Καρδιανό ζητώντας την συμμετοχή του στο φωτογραφικό μας ταξίδι. Ως αποτέλεσμα της θετικής του ανταπόκρισης φιλοξενούμε από σήμερα ένα ενδιαφέρον μέρος της δουλειάς του. Σύντομο βιογραφικό

Ο Ζήσης Καρδιανός γεννήθηκε το 1962. Είναι ανεξάρτητος φωτογράφος και ζει στην Ζάκυνθο. Σπούδασε κοινωνιολογία στο Deree College και φωτογραφία στην σχολή Focus. Οι εμμονές του πέρα από την φωτογραφία είναι η συλλογή φωτογραφικών άλμπουμ και η εκτύπωση των φωτογραφιών του. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της διεθνούς φωτογραφικής κολλεκτίβας Burn My Eye και μέλος του πρακτορείου Millennium Photo. Μέσα από τις φωτογραφίες του επιδιώκει την κατασκευή ενός φανταστικού κόσμου, όπου ακόμα και οι πιο πεζές καταστάσεις μπορούν να αποκτήσουν μια μυστηριώδη απόχρωση και ένα νόημα διαφορετικό απ’ αυτό που φέρουν στην πραγματικότητα.
